Yarn
Yarn
Brooklyn-based Americana/Alt-Country band Yarn's sound owes as much to Gram Parsons and Earl Scruggs as to Jerry Garcia and Exile On Main Street-era Rolling Stones. Much like its name, the band Yarn weaves country, rock, blues and more into a genre-defying blend that has captured the attention of fans and critics alike. Following in a fine tradition that includes forward thinking roots bands like The Flying Burrito Brothers and New Riders of The Purple Sage. Yarn weaves roots music idioms into a fresh sound that turns on hipsters and fans of country music alike, with technically impressive song-crafting and universal tales from the road of life.
Forlorn Strangers
Forlorn Strangers
Forlorn Strangers is a quintet based out of Nashville, Tennessee. The band is a collective of five songwriters, each having their own distinct styles that blend into one unmistakable voice. Their sound delves into all reaches of American roots music, driven by foot-stomping percussion and soaring family harmonies.

The band is comprised of sisters Abigail Dempsey (fiddle, percussion, vocals) and Hannah Leigh Lusk (mandolin, percussion, upright bass, vocals); Chris Banke (guitar, mandolin, vocals); Benjamin Lusk (banjo, guitar, vocals); and Jesse Thompson (upright bass, dobro, guitar, vocals). Since 2013, Forlorn Strangers has released two EPs (While the Grass Grows and American Magic Tricks) and has toured continuously across the United States, playing for an ever-increasing group of appreciative fans. In 2015, Forlorn Strangers played over 180 shows in over one hundred cities and more than thirty states nationwide.

The band just released their self-titled, debut full-length album. Forlorn Strangers was recorded at John Prine’s Nashville studio The Butcher Shoppe, and produced by Grammy winner Phil Madeira. They’ve already booked some notable festival slots including Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion, Homegrown Music Festival and Floyd Fest, with more dates being added every week. The summer and fall of 2016 will see the band touring extensively coast to coast in support of the new record and celebrating over a year and a half of life on the road.
