Dave Mason Unplugged
Dave Mason Unplugged
Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame Inductee – Songwriter and pretty darn good guitarist!

At age 18, the Worcester England native teamed up with Steve Winwood, Jim Capaldi and Chris Wood to form the legendary band Traffic whose profound influence over rock music, and generations of fans remains unquestioned even today. At 19, Mason penned the song ‘Feelin' Alright’ which was first recorded by Traffic and has since become a global anthem; recorded by dozens of artists since, including Joe Cocker who had a major international hit with the song in 1969. It is still a high point of his live show today.

After extensive touring throughout the UK and Europe, Mason departed Traffic after their second album and headed for the USA to pursue a solo career. From there he struck international gold with his debut album ‘Alone Together’; which is considered a seminal rock classic. It’s known for the marbleize vinyl, vertical gatefold packaging, the hits ‘Only You Know And I Know’ ‘World In Changes’, ‘Shouldn’t Have Took More Than You Gave’ and more. The album has sold millions of copies over the years. Followed by five highly successful albums (CBS/Sony) including ‘Dave Mason’ and ‘Mariposa De Oro’, four of which received gold albums in the US, his next album ‘Let It Flow’ has sold millions of copies over the years and contained another major Mason classic "We Just Disagree".

In addition to performing to sold-out audiences and being a permanent staple in record collections and hearts of fans around the world, Mason’s unique guitar work (though not widely known), can be heard on many landmark albums and songs such as the Rolling Stones' ‘Beggar’s Banquet’, George Harrison's ‘All Things Must Pass’, Paul McCartney's ‘Listen To What The Man Said’ and Jimi Hendrix's "Electric Ladyland". Hendrix’s major rock standard ‘All Along The Watchtower’ features Dave playing the acoustic guitars before Hendrix’s soaring entrance onto the track. It’s a big favorite of Dave's and it’s performed in nearly every on of his live shows. His work and career remain linked with numerous other members of rock and roll elite, including Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Fleetwood Mac, Graham Nash, Stephen Stills, Rita Coolidge, Delaney & Bonnie, Leon Russell, Ron Wood, Jim Capaldi, Mama Cass Elliot, and The Spencer Davis.

Dave Mason's career thrives and spans several important rock eras; encompassed producing, performing and song writing, as well as being one of rock's most respected guitar players. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a founding member of Traffic, and is an important figure in music. Dave tours regularly and is currently performing a special Unplugged show through June of 2013. Joining his ensemble is Jonathan McEuen, son of Nitty Gritty Dirt Band founder John McEuen.
Jonathan McEuen
Jonathan McEuen
The son of well-known rock star banjo picker, John McEuen, Jonathan McEuen was born to sing and play. Good genes and a star-studded extended musical family definitely work to his advantage - Crowds respond enthusiastically to Jonathan's extraordinary voice and guitar playing whenever he performs. Jonathan has always known life on the road - first by playing guitar and singing with his family, as well as singing background and playing guitar for other world class artists including Dwight Yoakam, Dave Mason, and Robben Ford, to name a few. Co-fronting his own band with cousin Jamie Hanna (son of Jeff Hanna from the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band), he was signed to the major record label MCA Nashville, (a division of Universal Music Group). That experience confirmed he was ready to move forward and create music outside the confines of his influences or a specific genre. Jonathan has performed on Jay Leno, at the Grand Ol’ Opry, and at Red Rocks in Colorado. Though Jonathan’s tremendous skill on guitar is clear, playing music without limitations is his commitment. He enjoys crossing genre lines and breaking molds by fusing musical traditions in his own, inspired way. Armed with a quick wit and personal charm, Jonathan moves fluidly in and out of folk, rock and bluegrass/country influences, making delightfully eclectic music for everyone along for the ride.
