Pat McGee
Pat McGee
Pat McGee is a singer-songwriter who has just made his dream record merging all of his strongest musical influences and tracking with true legends of the studio.

McGee’s self titled upcoming record, available at his Rams Head show, is his 10th effort and it’s a big one. Recorded in Los Angeles in 2014, with a legendary band: Russ Kunkel, Leland Sklar, Waddy Wachtel, Danny Kortchmar, Jeff Pevar and guests: Little Feat’s Paul Barrere, Blues Traveler’s John Popper, Train’s Pat Monahan, Punchbrother’s Gabe Witcher & more!

McGee wrote all the music himself inspired by the classic albums of the 1970’s that he grew up listening to. To land this incredible band, dubbed The Section, for these sessions was truly amazing and you can hear the passion and creativity on each track. These are the same players who helped create the signature sounds of Jackson Browne, James Taylor and so many more iconic artists.

Pat McGee Band was founded in 1995 and released and eight albums (2 on Warner Brothers) and a live DVD. PMB toured relentlessly for ten years all over the United States, in one stretch doing 98 shows in 103 days. They were asked to perform for President Clinton, sold out venues all over the US, shared the stage with The Who, Allman Brothers, Fleetwood Mac, James Taylor, Counting Crows Rat Dog, Levon Helm & more. The band was crushed with the untimely death in 2006 of founding drummer Chris Williams. He was the backbone of the band and an integral part of the signature sound of the group, both live and in the studio. McGee has assembled various star-studded ensembles over the years aand continues to have a focus on the song supported with strong harmonies, percussive acoustic guitars, mandolins as well as a tight rhythm section and tasteful electric guitars.

Pat has performed for USO in Greenland and more recently in The Middle East and Africa with Navy Entertainment. This allowed McGee and his band the opportunity to land on The USS Eisenhower to play for 5000 brave men and women serving on the Arabian Sea--an experience that was a highlight of his career.

McGee has strong ties to Annapolis, having toured here for the last 20 years, and his shows at Rams Head our truly one of kind. Joining McGee for his return will be a stellar group of musicians to create the ultimate singer-songwriter/rock show.
Matt Duke
Matt Duke
Matt Duke is a South Jersey-bred singer/songwriter currently signed to Drexel University's student-run record label, MAD Dragon Records, and Rykodisc. Duke began playing piano at the age of seven, and by ten he developed a deep love for the arts. Inspired by artists such as Van Morrison, The Band, and Pearl Jam, he taught himself how to play his mother's vintage guitar. Duke spent his high school years at Philadelphia's St. Joseph's Prep, where he was exposed to Ani DiFranco, Ben Harper, Tool, and Damien Rice. Impressed by their poignant lyrics and musical ambition, Duke started writing and performing at coffee houses in Philadelphia area. By the winter of 2004, Duke recorded his first demo, which landed him placement in MAD Dragon Records compilation CD XYX.

Soon after, XM Satellite Radio's "The Loft" (Channel 50) added Duke's songs from XYX into its rotation. Duke's songs were among the most requested at The Loft, joining Bruce Springsteen and Ben Harper for six weeks at the top spot. These placements helped MAD Dragon Records secure national distribution through Rykodisc. In late 2005, Duke entered the studio to record his debut LP, Winter Child for MAD Dragon Records. He released this LP in September 2006. Winter Child was co-produced by Stewart Lerman (Loudon Wainwright, Dar Williams) and Steuart Smith (The Eagles, Shawn Colvin) at The Shinebox Studios in New York City.
