8 Ohms Band is a horn heavy funk band from Annapolis, Maryland. Since 2007, they've been bringing their unique blend of funk, soul, pop, reggae, and R&B to stages across the DMV and beyond — sharing the stage with legends including Earth Wind & Fire, P Funk and Chuck Brown.
With three studio albums under their belt — including 2021's critically acclaimed "Nineteen" — the band has been featured in the Washington Post, BBC Radio 6, and are three-time Rammie Award winners for Best Show of the Year (2023, 2024 & 2025), Wammie Award and Maryland Music Award winners.
