A Tribute to John Lodge - An Evening of Moody Blues Magic

John Lodge was the legendary bass player, songwriter, and vocalist of Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees The Moody Blues. As the songwriter of mega Moody Blues hits including “Ride My See-Saw,” “I’m Just A Singer (In A Rock and Roll Band),” “Isn’t Life Strange,” and more, Lodge performed and recorded with The Moody Blues for more than five decades, selling in excess of 70 million albums worldwide.

Following his sad passing in October last year, his son-in-law Jon Davison (of YES), long-term collaborator Alan Hewitt (keyboards for The Moody Blues band), and his daughter Emily came together to create a unique concert to honor John, his life, and the iconic music of The Moody Blues - with the goal to touch hearts, spread happiness, and celebrate what John always described as “the soundtrack of his life.”

The premiere in July captured a rare magic by seamlessly weaving archival vocals and footage of John into a live set performed by the musicians who had been by his side for the last ten years. Earning both rave critical reviews and ecstatic fan acclaim, this breathtaking technical feat created an incredibly powerful, spiritual atmosphere where it was as if John were performing in perfect harmony with his band. Continuing in how John's tours honored all of his bandmates, Jon Davison will bring his beautiful, soaring vocals to legendary songs such as "Nights in White Satin" and "Tuesday Afternoon." The show also includes tributes to Ray Thomas and Mike Pinder, together with the stunning video of Graeme Edge reciting "Late Lament" - which he originally recorded for John so that he could always be on stage beside him.
