Artist Information

Emmy Award-winning comedian Michael Kosta has established himself as one of entertainment's most versatile talents. His work as a host and News Team member on The Daily Show earned him two consecutive Emmy nominations, culminating in a win at the 76th Annual Emmy Awards, cementing his status as a leading voice in political satire and comedy. Known for his sharp commentary on current events, he was elevated to a host following Jon Stewart's return, interviewing notable figures such as Governor Gretchen Whitmer, Roxane Gay, David Hogg, and John Legend.

Kosta’s comedic style blends self-deprecation with observational humor, often exploring the intersection of sports, politics, and everyday absurdities. His one-hour Comedy Central stand-up special, Michael Kosta: Detroit. NY. LA., currently streaming on Paramount+ and YouTube, traces his comedic journey from his Michigan roots to New York and Los Angeles.

Beyond The Daily Show, Kosta hosted The Comment Section on E! He’s made numerous late-night appearances on The Tonight Show, Conan, and Late Night with Seth Meyers, and starred in the Netflix film Pain Hustlers, directed by David Yates. Kosta will also be seen next year as a recurring cast member on NBC’s The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins starring Tracy Morgan.

Before his entertainment career, Kosta was a professional tennis player—an influence that still shapes his work today. He regularly contributes to The Tennis Channel, hosting the popular series Warm N' Fuzzy and producing and hosting the weekly podcast Tennis Anyone with Michael Kosta.

In addition to his television and podcast work, Kosta recently published his memoir, Lucky Loser: Adventures in Tennis & Comedy (Harper Collins). The book offers a candid, humorous look at his journey from professional tennis to stand-up comedy, sharing heartwarming stories of failure, growth, and finding success through perseverance.

With his Emmy win, literary debut, and continued presence in multiple media, Kosta continues to captivate audiences with his distinct voice, sharp wit, and unique blend of humor, sports knowledge, and insight into modern life. He has firmly established himself as a multifaceted talent across comedy, podcasts, and television.
